A ghost wind unsettles the windows and rattles the doors.

Here I am, working on Book Two, late into the night, and far away from home. Music plays in the background, a haunting melody entitled ‘Full of Grace,’ composed by J.E.Dufton, a title from the original score, the soundtrack I play whenever Lauren tells her story, and the story of her brother Jake. Between the notes, I hear Lauren sigh. Regret and loss are heavy in the air tonight. A seance. Of sorts. Communing with the imaginary. I hope for inspiration, and fear the night might be old, too old, like me. Out there, distant, the moors wait, and in here, the wind rumbles in a fireplace, black with memory, and just as cold.
