The Injury of Hope

So I went and did it again. I entered my first novel in another competition.

Glutton for punishment or eternal optimist? Am I a fool to blow the tiny marketing budget this way? Or is this a clever move, but only if I win? Am I donating to the not so needy or using opportunities genuinely there to support indie authors?

I know what Lauren would think?
